Megha's Fish Receipe with Photos Cooked in Kathmandu

- RECIPY FOR FISH

Ingredient
600gm Fish
75gm Grind mustard
½ ltrs Cooking oil
3pcs fresh tomatoes (finely chopped)
2pcs onion (dry) finely chopped into small pices
2 tea spoon paste of garlic and ginger
1 tea spoon turmeric
Chilly ( according to taste)
Salt ( according to taste)
Tasting Powder ( 1 chimty)
1spoon Curry spices powder
Green dhaniya
Meat mashala
Process:
1. Cut the fish in slices for about ½ inches thickness, and add salt and turmeric on it and mix. Put it for 5 minutes.
2. Take a fry pan heat it with cooking oil than deep fry the slices of fish.
3. after completing the frying process now again heat the pan with cooking oil than first put onion on it than fry it till it become golden colour after that put tomatoes and than put turmeric, chilly powder , tasting powder, ginger garlic paste, salt, curry spices, meat mashala, grean dhaniya and grinded mustard, cook it until it becomes paste than add 1 ½ cups of hot water on the paste boil it for 5 to 7 minutes after that put the fried fish slices in it than cook it for 5 minute, now its ready to serve. Fish Curry~ MACHAA KO MASU~NYHA

Maccha is the nepali name for fish and Nya is the newari name.

Nyha ( Fish) have very auspicious meaning in Nepal. A small dry fried fish with boiled fried egg is given as Shaga in newari culture for good luck.

Fish is not so easy to cook as the meat is very soft. You should be very careful while cooking fish. I am learning myself cook the fish betterway. If you have some tips and tricks to cook fish. Please forward me. I love the benagali fish cooking method with Sugar..Yummy delicious....

Ingredients(1-2 Person with Rice)

800 gm Fish

3 Table Vergetable Oil

2 Fresh Tomatoes finely chopped

3 Potato dice chopped

2 Red Onion finely chopped

1/5 Teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)

1 bunch Green onions finely chopped

1/2 Teaspoon mined Garli

1/2 Teaspoon mined Ginger

1/3 Teaspoon Cucumin

1 Teaspoon hot chilly powder

1 Teaspoon Curry Powder

1/2 Teaspoon Fish Masala ( from Indian store)

Salt according to your taste

Prepartion

Heat the non stick pot with oil. Add the Onion and stir fry with Haldi, and Salt for about 5 mintues. Add potatoes and tomatoes. Cooked it until the tomato turns into paste form. Add Fish , Cucumin, Curry Powder, Fish Masala and hot chilly powder and stir it for 5 minutes, Add ginger and garlic, one cup of water into the fish to have the soup for rice. Cover the pot for 20 mintues and cooked it on medium heat.

Now Add the finely Chopped green onions and cooks for the further minutes.

The fish is ready to Serve. The estimate cooking time is about 30 mintues.
